Project Overview
A flagship educational infrastructure project to expand the campus capacity of the Tanzania Institute of Accountancy (TIA) in Dar es Salaam. The project included new lecture halls, administrative wings, and student recreation areas.
KAICON acted as the primary civil contractor, handling everything from deep foundation works to multi-story structural framing and final interior finishing.
The Challenge
Working within a highly congested, active campus environment required stringent health, safety, and environmental (HSE) controls to protect students and faculty while managing constant heavy vehicle logistics.
KAICON's Solution & Impact
We implemented a phased construction methodology with off-hours heavy logistics scheduling. The facility was delivered with zero lost-time injuries (LTI) and has successfully expanded TIA's daily student capacity by 2,500.
