Project Overview
A critical energy infrastructure project designed to stabilize the power grid for the mining-heavy Geita region. KAICON served as the primary civil and logistics contractor for the station's development.
Beyond pouring massive generator foundations, we managed the movement of oversized power generation equipment from the port of Dar es Salaam to the remote interior site.
The Challenge
Transporting 150-ton generator units across 1,000+ kilometers of varied road networks, combined with executing high-precision concrete pours for turbine dampening in extreme weather.
KAICON's Solution & Impact
KAICON logistics teams conducted extensive route surveys and bridge reinforcements prior to transit. The civil works were completed perfectly to millimeter tolerances, allowing rapid installation of the turbines. The station now powers major mining operations and surrounding communities.
